Posio Primary School is in the same building as the high school, which focuses on ceramics and sports. There is an ice rink, new gym, sports field, skate ramp, Kotivaara recreation area and 70 km of cross-country skiing routes.
The Adult Education Centre offers hundreds of classes for adults. You can also easily get involved in the community through organisations.
The biggest employers are Coronaria, Pentik and the municipality of Posio.

Language learning support
In Posio, we recognize that having support in learning the Finnish language is an important part of settling in. We offer plenty of options to learners of different levels.
On Mondays, there is a Language Café in the Community and Coworking Space Tarmo. It is a low-threshold event where you will learn Finnish through conversation and repetition. You can enroll in Posio Upper Secondary School as a non-degree student in Finnish as a second and foreign language.
