Names of the register

Customer register This notice describes the principles according to which Naturpolis Ltd collects, uses, protects and discloses customers’ personal data.
This notice is not applicable to our partners (project funders, public authorities).
Please refer to our partners’ explanations of how they use customer data.  

The information we collect

We may collect your personal data if you visit our website, use our services, participate in our events or activities, enter competitions or otherwise interact with us.
We may combine the information you provide directly to us with information we collect and with information we collect from other sources.
The personal information we collect includes your name, postal and email address, telephone number, date of birth, website or Facebook page, personal identification number when you set up your business, customer and usage data, such as information about free or paid services, and information you have stored on our online service.
We may collect your information from public authority registers (for example, the Patent and Registration Office’s Business Information System (BIS)) and other publicly available information.
For example, we may collect information about you if you communicate with us via social media.  

Cookies

We use cookies on this website to tailor the content and advertising we provide, to support our social media features and to analyse our visitor numbers.
We also share information with our social media, advertising and analytics partners about how you use our site.
Our partners may combine this information with other information that you have provided to them or that has been collected when you have used their services  

How and on what basis we use the information we collect

How we share the information we collect

The company does not sell your personal data.
The Company will only disclose your information as described in this notice.
We have the right to use or disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation or legal request, to protect technology, to defend or assert legal claims, to protect the rights, interests or safety of our organization, our employees or the public, or in connection with an investigation of fraud, other crime or violation of our policies.
Under no circumstances will we transfer or disclose information outside the EEA (the European Union Common Market, which includes the EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).  

Data protection of minors

With the consent of the guardian, the company processes the following personal data of the founders of the underage companies and of the minors participating in the prize draw: name, contact details, education, date of birth, address details.  

Your rights

You have the right to check what information about you is stored in the register.
The request should be sent by e-mail to info@naturpolis.fi.
The request for inspection may also be made in person at the controller’s premises.
You are in control of all personal data that you provide to us.
If at any time you wish to correct your personal data, please contact us.
You also have the right, in certain circumstances, to request the deletion of personal data concerning you from the register and to request its transfer to another company.
You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data and to object to the processing of your personal data.
Please note, however, that in certain circumstances, the provision of data and the authorisation of processing may be a condition for access to or use of the service.
The Company reserves the right to suspend the provision of the Services or deny access to the Services if the data subject does not provide or requests the deletion of data relevant to the Service.  

Information security

We are committed to taking appropriate measures to keep your personal data safe.
Our technical, administrative and physical processes are designed to protect personal data against accidental, unlawful or unauthorised loss, access, disclosure, use, alteration or destruction.
While we take care to protect our systems, we cannot guarantee that a website, computer system or transmission of information over the Internet or other public network will be completely secure.

Retention of personal data

We will retain personal data only for as long as the data can be considered necessary for the purposes described in this notice, unless longer retention is required by law, required by the project sponsor or permitted by law.
Project-related data will be kept until the date specified in the project decisions and personal data will be deleted from the systems within the time limits.
