How to make it work?

The best employment opportunities in this region can be found in the travel and tourism industry, service sector, forest-based industries, metal industry as well as the social and healthcare sector.

Most of the jobs require some Finnish language skills, but especially in the travel industry you can manage with English and other European languages, such as Dutch, French and German, are a plus.

We have many job opportunities that do not require a high level of education. Practical skills and and a willingness to learn are most important, so you can confidently explore the options that suit you best.

You can also learn Finnish for free while working. For example, there is also a weekly language café in Kuusamo and Posio!
